Software porting / iOS engineering

iOS ports for existing software.

NyerahWorks adapts desktop applications, games, and simulation software for iPhone and iPad. Projects are built against the original codebase, with platform-specific work isolated where practical.

Selected work

Existing code. New platform.

Two open-source C++ applications adapted for Apple mobile platforms. The case studies document the platform work, build decisions, and upstream constraints—not a rewrite hidden behind a new interface.

Principia for iOS

02

Port of the community-maintained Principia physics sandbox to iOS. The work covers ARM64 builds, cross-compiled dependencies, Apple bundle configuration, lifecycle and resume behavior, mobile input, device-specific rendering fixes, and a repository structure intended to stay close to upstream.

Services

Porting and iOS integration

01

Make it build

Compatibility review, build-system adaptation, dependency work, Apple bundle configuration, and an ARM64 path from the existing source tree to a real device.

02

Make it behave

Lifecycle, rendering, touch input, audio, file access, packaging, signing, and device-specific problems that appear once desktop software is living on iOS.

03

Keep it maintainable

Platform-specific changes kept deliberate and contained so the iOS port can continue following an active upstream project without unnecessary fork drift.
